Zenonas Sabaliauskas: iki laimės trūksta ne tik kurorto statuso

Prieš porą savaičių „Lazdijų žvaigždėje“ pasirodžiusi turisto  Dariaus Šavolskio  publikacija apie mūsų miesto galimybes sulaukė didelio susidomėjimo tarp Veisiejų bendruomenės. Ne tik dėl išdėstytų teiginių, bet ir dėl paties autoriaus pozicijos.
 Nustebino tai, kad žmogus, kuris, kaip pats sako, į Veisiejus užsuka tik retkarčiais, pravažiuodamas, taip puikiai žino, ką čia reikėtų daryti, o svarbiausia – kas nepadaryta. Benaršydamas (kaip galiu įtarti) po savivaldybės interneto svetainę, jis aptiko, jog rajono strateginiame plėtros 2011-2020 m. plane yra numatyta siekti Veisiejams kurortinės teritorijos statuso. O kas jau buvo ar yra padaryta šio statuso siekiant – nesiaiškino. Jam pasirodė, jog mes, vietos ir rajono valdžia, net nežinome, kad yra toks Vyriausybės nutarimu patvirtintas Kurorto statuso suteikimo gyvenamosioms vietovėms aprašas, todėl detaliai išrašė, kokie reikalavimai šiame apraše yra išdėstyti, kad mes, kaimo žmonės, žinotumėme, kokiomis galimybėmis, kokiomis aukso kasyklomis nepasinaudojame. Net patarė rengti Europos Sąjungos lėšomis finansuojamą galimybių studiją turizmui, Veisiejų kurortinei vietovei vystyti.  Tuo tarpu rajono savivaldybėje ji buvo parengta dar 2008 metais. O kai kurie darbai, siekiant kurortinės vietovės statuso Veisiejams, buvo pradėti dar anksčiau.
Pavyzdžiui, mes, aš ir tuometinis Veisiejų miesto seniūnijos seniūnas Juozas Rutkauskas, rašėme raštus, rinkome gyventojų parašus, kreipėmės į įvairias rajono ir respublikinės valdžios institucijas, kad būtų uždraustas sunkiasvorio transporto eismas per Veisiejų mieto centrą. Žinoma, mūsų kova davė tik dalinius rezultatus – minimaliai buvo apribotas eismo per  Veisiejų miestą greitis.
Dar tais pačiais 2008 metais iš Vilniaus atvykusi komisija, kuri turi galią tokį statusą suteikti, konstatavo, jog Veisiejai kol kas neturi pakankamai bonusų vadintis kurortine teritorija. Kiek pamenu, komisijos išvadoje buvo minima, jog miestelyje nėra poilsio namų, taip pat pasigesta ir gamtos išteklių, kurie gali turėti gydomųjų savybių. Tačiau mes rankų nenuleidome. Rajono savivaldybės, Veisiejų regioninio parko direkcijos, seniūnijų iniciatyva buvo paruoštas 5 mln. litų vertės projektas turizmo infrastruktūrai gerinti Veisiejuose. Laimėjus lėšų šiam projektui įgyvendinti iš ES fondų, mūsų mieste įrengtas pirmasis Lietuvoje muzikos ir šviesų efektus turintis fontanas, didžiulė estrada renginiams, kiti objektai bei pėsčiųjų ir dviračių takai per Veisiejų parką, kuriais, beje, galima nukeliauti pusę kelio iki Vainežerio dvarvietės, gynybinių įtvirtinimų. Jei šio straipsnio autorius būtų norėjęs tai sužinoti, jis, be abejo, būtų užsukęs į seniūniją arba į bet kurią kitą miestelio įstaigą ir pasiteiravęs. Deja, jam pasirodė patogiau mus pamokyti per spaudą.  
Ne tik straipsnio autoriui, bet ir kitiems, kuriems atrodo, „kad nieko valdžia nedaro“, taip pat turiu pasakyti, jog tuomet, kai buvo rekonstruotas mūsų miesto parkas, perstatyta estrada, atsirado jau minėti fontanai, mieste nuo pavasario iki vėlaus rudens ne tik savaitgaliais, bet ir darbo dienomis pasirodydavo daugybė turistų, norinčių pasigrožėti šia pramoga, pavaikščioti parko takais. Jie čia atvykdavo ne tik individualiai, šeimomis, bet ir daugiaviečiais autobusais. Manau, jog būtent tada vietos gyventojai bent iniciatyvą galėjo parodyti steigdami čia, aplink ežerą, aplink fontaną esančiose erdvėse, įstaigas, kurios aptarnautų šiuos turistus, teiktų jiems platesnio spektro paslaugas. Taip sakant, rajono valdžia meškerę į rankas jiems įdavė, tačiau žuvį pasigauti jau turėjo bandyti jie patys. Deja, dzūkai jau tokie yra – neryžtingi, neverslūs. Ir jie praleido puikią progą susikurti darbo vietas Veisiejuose, gimtinėje, sau ir savo vaikams. Dauguma jų išvažinėjo į didmiesčius, į užsienį, ten įsikūrė, ir jokia infrastruktūra, joks kurortinės teritorijos statusas jų neprivers iš ten sugrįžti. Nei seniūnija, nei savivaldybė kavinių ar poilsio namų nekurs – tai turi padaryti privatininkai. Tačiau jie, gaila, nemato perspektyvos...
Jei pamenate, vos paleidus fontaną, buvo nuskambėjusi graži vietos verslininkų iniciatyva statyti kavinę šalia fontano ir Liepų rato, buvo kalbėta ir apie garlaivį, jachtą ar kokią kitą vandens transporto priemonę, kuri plukdytų turistus po Ančios ežerą, nuplukdytų iki Mėčiūnų piliakalnio, Vainežerio. Deja. Gražios idėjos  dingo. Atvykę verslininkai iš Birštono pabandė tik plukdyti nedideliu laiveliu, bet greit išvyko. O dauguma vietinių pasirinko lengvesnį kelią – emigruoti. Juokinga, kai žmogus iš šalies pasakoja seniūnijai, savivaldybei, jog reikia steigti valčių, vandens dviračių nuomos punktus... Tarsi savivaldybė galėtų tokia veikla užsiimti.
Ponas D. Šavolskis savo straipsnyje teigia, kad lengviausia yra nieko nedaryti, o aš sakau, kad lengviausia yra kalbėti, pasakoti, mokyti kitus. Autorius, ko gero, su Veisiejais susipažino tik prieš kokius dešimtį metų, kai jie jau buvo sutvarkyti. Jei būtų  čia viešėjęs prieš du dešimtmečius, tuomet galėtų palyginti. Ir pasakytų, jog Veisiejuose padaryta itin daug.
Naudodamasis proga noriu pasakyti, jog kas žino, gal naujai išrinkta Lietuvos valdžia padarys stebuklą, sugebės grąžinti išvykusius Lietuvos vaikus į tėvynę, užtikrins jiems itin geras verslo pradžios sąlygas, sukurs tokį šiltnamio efektą, kad net ir didžiausi skeptikai negalės atsispirti. Štai tuomet ir Veisiejų galimybės bus išnaudotos – jei ne kurortas čia bus, tai bent nuostabi vieta gyventi ir kurti savo verslą.
