Globos namuose gyvenanti šimtametė ypač mėgsta vieną daržovę

Lazdijų rajono savivaldybė šiais metais, įskaitant ir Oną Emiliją Ivoškienę, pasveikino 3 šimtametes.

Veisiejų socialinės globos namuose – neeilinė šventė! 100 metų jubiliejų pažymi viena jo gyventojų – Ona Emilija Ivoškienė. Ta proga ją aplankė ne tik svečiai iš savivaldybės, bet ir Seimo narys Zenonas Streikus, jo patarėjas Benius Rūtelionis. Jubiliatė – dar ne lovoje gulinti. Svečius ji pasitiko pasipuošusi, naujai šviečiančiu manikiūru, šukuosena. Taip, kaip ir turi būti jubiliejaus proga. Moteris prisipažino – svečių laukusi. Šventinė jubiliatės aplinka – tai Veisiejų socialinės globos namų darbuotojų rūpestis. Pagarba jiems, kad ne tik sukaktuvininkės kambarys, bet ir visa globos namų aplinka dvelkia jaukumu, švara. Kvepia namais...

Kad čia gyventi būtų gera, prisideda ir pati jubiliatė. Ji dar mielai sukasi globos namų virtuvėje, padeda ten šeimininkaujančioms virėjoms, mielai gamina patiekalus iš bulvių, kurių sūnus iš Babrų kaimo atveža. O.E. Ivoškienė sako, kad ji pati mielai valgo bulves, jos jai skaniausios. Gal bulvės ir yra jos ilgo ir kokybiško gyvenimo paslaptis?.. Dar moteris mėgsta tvarkyti globos namų koplytėlę, padeda, kai atvyksta kunigas, jam ruoštis šv. Mišioms. Žodžiu, nors globos namuose yra daug jaunesnių, tačiau ji veiklumu, organizuotumu joms nenusileidžia, o dažną ir aplenkia... 

Visa tai paneigia mūsuose nusistovėjusį mitą, kad į globos namus vyriausieji mūsų aplinkos žmonės iškeliauja tik numirti. Onos Emilijos Ivoškienės istorija – visai kitokia.
