Kartu su pasienyje parduodamais objektais iškeliauja ir rajono istorijos dalis

Šalia Galinių pasienio užkardos, ant Galadusio ežero kranto esantis elingas ir atraminis punktas kol kas neparduodami.

Kai šią savaitę viešėjau Vilniuje, privačiame renginyje, kalba tarp svečių netikėtai pasisuko apie pačiame Lietuvos–Lenkijos pasienyje parduodamą pastatų kompleksą: poilsio namus, sandėlius, kitus ūkinės paskirties pastatus, kurių bendras plotas sudaro daugiau kaip 1 500 kvadratinių metrų. Visi jie kažkada priklausė Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybai, Lazdijų rinktinei, vėliau perėjo Lazdijų rajono savivaldybės administracijos žinion. Kartu su pastatais parduodamas beveik 3 hektarų žemės sklypas. Ir visa tai – vos už 44 tūkst. eurų. Visai čia pat, vos už 700 metrų – Lenkijos Respublika. Netoli ir Galadusio ežeras, puikiai sutvarkytas ir turistams pritaikytas rokadinis kelias, primenantis kažkada griežtai saugomą buvusios Sovietų Sąjungos ir Europos sieną...  
Nuo to laiko, kai buvo panaikinta Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybos Lazdijų rinktinė, kuriai priklausė visi šie pastatai, praėjo jau šešeri metai. Liūdna, kad rajonas kažko neteko. Tačiau, kas gali žinoti, kokie verslai ir galimybės rajono gyventojams čia slypi jau visai netolimoje ateityje...
Kartu su buvusiu Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnybos viršininko pavaduotoju, daugiau nei 18 metų Valstybės sienos apsaugos tarnyboje dirbusiu Antanu Smaliuku „Lazdijų žvaigždė“ apvažiavo beveik visus parduodamus (ir neparduodamus) pastatus pasienyje.
